I started Polish studies a month ago and most of my time is consumed by reading. There are mostly medieval Polish chronicles and poems, some of them translated form Latin. But I feel happy that I finally found studies, where I can read a lot and that is the main task during the studies. I enjoy reading some of these texts, especially those which were originally written in Polish. You can learn a lot about a language, if you see texts written 500 or 600 years ago. And it turns out, that it is sometimes useful, if you speak Russian or Czech, because Polish then had a lot in common with these languages. Well, it still has, but 500 years ago the difference was much smaller.
I also learn about the structure of poems, about the language itself, and about contemporary Polish literature... and it is all very interesting. That's why I lost my interest in the Internet and deviantArt. I could spend my whole time sitting in an armchair and reading. And drinking tea.
It seems that I enjoyed deviantArt that much, because I didn't like my economic studies and was looking for something more creative. I wish I could get a degree without having to write the thesis...
